Shandong Fengyuan Tire Manufacturing Co., Ltd. recently held a cornerstone laying ceremony for planning to produce 10 million semi-steel car tires and light truck radial tires and 2 million complete-steel radial tires per year.
The project, located in Economic Development Zone, Duocheng District, Zaozhuang City, is a key project in Duocheng District in 2007, covering an area of 528 mu (1 mu= 666.667 square meters). In the first phase construction, 3 million semi-steel tires and 0.6 million complete-steel tires will be produced per year; it is learned that the project mainly adopts domestic technology and equipment. Shandong Fengyuan Tire Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is a newly-established subsidiary company of Shandong Fengyuan Coal and Electricity Power Co., Ltd. which is a large-sized stock company engaging in multiple industries simultaneously with coal business as base and with coal and electricity business as main body. The company will make good use of its advantages in direct supply of heat and electricity and cost management to reduce production cost.
